I have always had a special place in my heart for the lost and forgotten. In 2020 in the midst of the pandemic I was a newly single mom and reconnected with an old friend who was incarcerated. As our friendship deepened, so did my understanding of the pain and frustration experienced by those in prison. I knew I wanted to make a difference!
In 2021, that old friend became my husband. My love for him and for his fellow inmates and their families led me to put that compassion I had always felt into practice.
